In 2019, Arnould Lefébure, oceanographer and founder of GoodPlanet Belgium with Yann Arthus Bertrand, is switching from water to wine by taking over the family Domaine in Burgandy. As an ardent defender of biodiversity and in search of excellence, he decided from the outset to run it organically and biodynamically.

Cellar manager

F a b i e n C h e v a l i e r

Fabien Chevalier is the Cellar Master of the Domaine with 20 years of experience.

He is passionate about his work in the winery, particularly in winemaking, and puts his experience to good use in the quality of the Domaine’s wines.

Improving his knowledge and winemaking techniques, he has developed professionally by working in prestigious wine houses. In 2021, he then chose to join the team at the Domaine du Château de Viviers, where the winemaking methods used caught his attention as they are very innovative and traditional at the same time, resulting in a wine of excellent quality.

TECHNICAL MANAGER

D o m i n g o s C a r a v e l a D e P i n h o

 

Domingos is the Technical Manager of the estate with 35 years of experience.

The work in the vineyards relies on him and his technical and mechanical knowledge is impressive.

Domingos, the son of Portuguese immigrants, arrived in Chablis in 1985 and learned the trade at Domaine des Malandes where he stayed until 1997. He then worked at the Maison Bejot as Head of Culture. In 2019, he decided to join the Château de Viviers for a new experience and a new way of working in respect of nature. He is probably the most important pillar of the Domaine, being everyday in the vines with more than 35 years of experience. He learns quickly biodynamy and applies it with passion and art.

 

Agricultural technicien

S i m o n G a u c h e t

Simon Gauchet, a university student with a master’s degree in ecology, agro-ecology and biodiversity, did an internship at the Château de Viviers on agroforestry linked to the vineyard and is now an agricultural technician at the estate.

Buisness manager

L a d i s l a s L e f é b u r e

Ladislas Lefébure holds a double master’s degree in corporate finance and international management from the ISG (Paris) and the University of Otago (New Zealand).

After various internships in investment and corporate management abroad, Ladislas joined the team where he uses his financial, commercial and strategic skills to contribute to the development of the field.
